Bambay - film review by Edgar Pineda

“Bombay” starts at the beginning with many things, and goes like love stories, which is something great. The film starts with the characters Shekhar, the Muslim husband and Shaila Bano, the Hindi woman who just wants her family happy. They live in Bombay just have twins sons, while neither the couples fathers fating and yelling which scenes turns into dramatic images.

In the beginning the film it was very dramatic especially when Shekhar was arrived to the house Shaila and his father yelling to Shekhar, because he didn’t wants the relationship between Shekhar and her daughter. But after that Shekhar and Shaila continue the relationship and while that Shekhar and Shaila get married in Bombay. So after that Shekhar received a letter from his family, but that made conflict to then. Also by the time during that happen, the city it was burning by the extremist while resulting people Muslims injured and killed.

In the mean time the two sons was disappear and Shaila and Shekhar it was suffering to trying to find out. Then the father Shekhar comes to visit the house to see his grandsons. After that Shekhar starts to do like reporting, interviewing people about what happen, in the city. Also by the same time the mother of Shaila, it’s comes to visited the family too. So then the grandfather it was took the two sons and walked by the street and said the grandpa there are in the house.

The theme in the film it was about differences of religious, and the mean time caused people died. Also the film shows us violence images, which scenes involve drama and romance. The film also has a lot emotion for example, when Shaila it was crying and yelling to trying to looking for their child’s, there was missing. The film shows us how the religion they can change and idealized families.

The theme also has emotional images, especially when the grandfather even has their own feelings; in the end eventually they had touch humanity things. So in general the film has a lot of things, to interpret beside culture and religion. Is a film we can say this film has everything because they have conflict, drama, action, and romance.

I think this film is a great, film. They have a lot argument a lot of conflict, and different feelings. So that makes the film interesting. I think this film is one of the films I never see before, well because for some reason it was for me very familiar, with my culture. Because that happen some times in my culture too, like a one family they don’t want the other one, and sometimes people killed to another ones. So for me it was very interesting theme, because even this was only scrip, for me it was like real.

Talk To Her Movie Review by Edgar Pineda

 “Talk to Her” To summarize this film has a lot of things very interesting. One of the characters it was Beningno, he talked about Alicia. How their life was before she had the car accident. Also, how difficult it was for him to help her, and the significance of him to helping Alicia, with her therapist.

The film was related to the dance of Spain. In the film, Beningno has imaginations and dreams his feeling inside of Alicia’s body. Also in the film the characters that took place were Marco and Lidia who had been injured while fighting the pull. During this event Lidia had gotten paralyzed. In the film Marcos and Lidia were friends. In the film Beningno took care of Alicia, but he was obsessed with Alicia even though she was paralyzed and unconscious.

 In the mean time Marcos also had feelings about Alicia. So both wants get married with Alicia but she is in comma. After coupe time in the scene Beningno pregnancy Alicia even she still in comma, so after that Beningno was arrested. Also in the film Marcos who is original from Argentina, discovery Alicia, in rehabilitation, so that comes back to their life, and Beningno didn’t know. But he decides to leave from the prison, and also in the mean time Marcos was trying to meet him at the prison, but he couldn’t find it. So after that Marcos trying to fallow and meet Alicia that was the end.

The theme in the film was paralyzes, because in the beginning Alicia had the car accident, which the consequence was had been the paralyzed. The second time Lidia injured while fighting the pull, and she had gotten paralyzed too. Also on the scenes show as to the audience, the film has drama, suspense, and romance.  The film was took place on personal problems, which that was had been accidents and that made more interesting the film, because they had conflicts and that is important for the movie.

My personal opinion, on the film is good, because in the beginning I like the images how was the film, and I think is a very good movie. They have a lot of controversy and conflicts that it’s interesting. Also has a lot of camera movement and back ground dark, which make more suspense, and that get the attention to audience.

            About my reaction in the beginning, I never watch before a movie like that. Well Because I was felt for moments like scared, well not really scared but for me it was like stretch film, but that can happen. Especially when they pass the images with Beningno had feelings inside of the body of Alicia, that was fanny I don’t know exactly but I think is a good film. The only thing I feel is not accurate is the name of the movie I think they not match with the story. But this is my opinion.
